(MOBILE, AL – (July 16, 2018) – The Orthopaedic Group, P. C. announced today that its Board of Directors has unanimously chosen Ryan Beale as the organization’s next chief executive officer. Beale, who recently served as the chief operating officer at Cardiology Associates of Mobile, Inc., will succeed Patrick Page, current CEO, upon his retirement in December 2018.
“After thorough succession planning and a comprehensive search process, the board is pleased to have found the best individual to assume leadership of our orthopaedic practice,” said Dr. Stephen B. Cope, president of The Orthopaedic Group, P.C., and chair of the succession committee. “Ryan has a track record of strong leadership in healthcare, and we are excited he has joined our family. His appointment is a clear reflection of the future of our practice. We are ready to give Ryan the support he needs at the helm, and we believe he is uniquely qualified to lead us successfully into the future.”
Beale recently served as the chief operating officer for Cardiology Associates of Mobile, Inc. for over twelve years. The selection of Beale ends an extensive nationwide search process.

Beale, 36, holds a Bachelor of Science in healthcare management from the University of Alabama, a Masters of Science in Health Administration and Master of Business Administration at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Beale is a Past President of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) Mobile chapter, serves on the Blue Cross Blue Shield Liaison Committee for the State of Alabama and was featured as one of Mobile Bay Monthly’s Forty under 40 in 2015. He and Shannon, his wife of 11 years, have two children.

Patrick has proven true dedication to our practice for 28 years, and we owe so much of our growth and success to him. To us, he’s a true visionary, and we will miss him tremendously,” said Dr. Cope. Patrick has assisted with the growth of the group from eight to 29 physicians and to 210 employees. He led our multi-specialty physician group through the addition of 22 board certified and fellowship trained orthopaedic specialists and our expansion to seven locations across the Gulf Coast.
