"I hurt my elbow playing football. Dr. Howard made sure it wasn't broken and I didn't miss any practice or games!" -- Sean M.
"I have seen Dr. Howard for two different accidents. Both times I have felt both compassion and respect from not only the doctor, but the entire staff. Dr. Howard listens and does not make you feel that he is in a hurry or not interested in hearing what you have to say. I love this group!" --Patty H.
"I went to see Dr. Howard about a back problem that has been bothering me for over a year and Dr. Howard was very informative and really treated me as if he cares about the outcome of what will be taking place. I would refer anyone to use Dr. Howard if he can help them with any orthopaedic problem they might be having." -- Regina S.
"Dr. Conrad first saw me, but he told me his specialty was knees, elbows, etc. Dr. Conrad told me that the doctor that I needed to see was Dr. Howard as he was an excellent spinal doctor. I went to see him a few days later and he immediately scheduled me for an MRI As soon as the results were in they scheduled another appointment. I had to endure one epidural to see if that would help but just my luck it didn't help at all. I went back two weeks later and this was when they scheduled me for back surgery. I went from a wheelchair to a walker to a cane and then to walking in approximately six weeks. I would recommend Dr. Howard to anyone with back trouble." -- Joseph L.
"I am very pleased with my decision to use The Orthopaedic Group, P.C. Dr. Howard could be one of the best surgeons in Mobile. I had lumbar fusion surgery. The staff at mobile location has always treated me with respect and kindness. I have suffered with lower back pain since my early 20's, but I always been able to control it until I got older. Dr. Howard knew exactly what the problem was and proceeded to fix it. The excruciating pain I once had from having two vertebras out of place and a demolished disc is now gone. I am in therapy and I know with time its only going to get better. Thanks everyone for an awesome job." -- Tommie A.
"I went to The Orthopaedic Group, P.C., because a while back I suffered a knee injury and I went to Dr. Conrad. They did such a good job that I never forgot the treatment I received, so when I started having trouble with my back I went back to Dr. Conrad. He examined me and discovered that there was a problem with my spine. Dr. Conrad told me that his specialty was the knees, elbows, etc. so he recommended me to Dr. Howard who was a spine specialist. They scheduled an MRI to find out the extent of my injuries. Once they found out what was wrong with my back, they scheduled an epidural to see if that would help, but it had no effect. I went back two weeks later, my doctor saw how much pain I was in and he immediately scheduled surgery within the next week. The people that greeted me at the surgery center were very nice and made me as comfortable as possible before the and after the surgery. I was able to stand 45 minutes after the surgery and was able to go home about an hour later. I spent two weeks on a walker and about two weeks on a cane before I was able to walk on my own and was back to work within six weeks of the procedure. I am glad that God was able to guide Dr. Howard’s hands to help me make such a quick recovery." -- Joseph L.
"I fell from a 20" tower on December 10, 2011. The fall shattered my right ankle. I had to crawl out of the woods to a road where I was able to signal friends after about 45 minutes. I got a ride to my truck and drove from Brooklyn, Alabama to Mobile (Providence Hospital ER). I was taken into surgery where Dr. Clinton Howard, IV, performed the initial surgery. Approximately a week later, I went to the Mobile Infirmary where Dr. Shawn Park IV performed surgery and put me in a cast. The surgery consisted of installing two titanium plates held in place by stainless steel screws. Over the next few months, I seemed to be getting better and the pain subsided. Before long, the pain returned and X-rays revealed that the hardware previously installed was failing. In May 2012, I went back into surgery. Dr. Park removed the hardware and some dead bone. This time, a bone graft was done and another single plate was installed on the face of my shinbone. Follow up X-rays indicated that the bone was healing as expected and I am currently having to wear a boot. I can exert light pressure right now (July, 2012). It has been a long time since I have been able to work and exercise and my muscles have diminished considerably. I have also lost over 30 pounds. I cannot begin to express how much I appreciate the care I have gotten from doctors and nurses. Dr. Park patiently explains what is going on and what to expect. Rachel, his nurse, is a treasure. She is always willing and eager to be of help. Scotty, in the cast room, has really done a quick and professional job each time I have gone in for a cast change or adjustment. The Orthopaedic Group, P.C., staff have made a very unfortunate and life changing event, tolerable." -- Larry H.
