"In one word, outstanding. I don't see how my experience could have been any better. Beginning with a torn rotator cuff that had limited my use of the arm and kept me awake at night, and ending with a "like it never happened" result. My recovery and therapy were very smooth with little discomfort and no difficulty. Now, over two years later my arm functions and feels like it did prior to the injury. I attribute this to the quality and capability of Dr. Cope and The Orthopaedic Group’s staff and facilities." -- Leon A.
"In April of last year I had to see Dr. Cope because of the pain I was having in my right knee. After he looked at my knee, I was set up to have the knee operated on. I had the scope done. Now one year later my right knee is great. Now the left knee has started to do the same thing and I must have the same done on it. Dr. Cope and his staff are a great group of people. They stay with you from start to finish. Thank you!" -- Jodie R.
"I have seen Dr. Cope for a knee injury and a shoulder injury. I had a positive experience both times. He is very professional, knowledgeable, and thoughtful about how to treat (he is utilizes conservative treatment options which is VERY MUCH appreciated). It is evident that he has a wealth of experience and knowledge and is confident. When I experienced both of my injuries each time I asked a friend that is an operating room nurse which doctor to use she said without hesitation that there are fantastic doctors in that group, but Dr. Cope is the best. Another thing I like is that he gets into the solution of the actual problem rather than wanting to just cover it up with pain medication. I would definitely see him again should the need arises." -- Cary K.
"Twelve years ago I injured my right knee by stepping out of a RV without the step in place. A month later, I saw Dr. Cope with severe right knee pain. He performed an arthroscopy to clean up some minor tears. Twelve years later I began having knee pain every day. Dr. Cope informed me I had arthritis in my right knee and that I had three choices, live with it, try an injection, or have a total knee replacement. In all fairness I felt I should try the injection, which I did. It only lasted two weeks. I immediately made an appointment with Dr. Cope to discuss surgery. He explained in detail the procedure and recovery. After the procedure, I was kept comfortable with the pain regimen Dr. Cope had ordered and didn't have to ask for pain medication. While in the hospital the nurses and physical therapist seemed very familiar with Dr. Cope's orders and carried them out in a timely manner, which is comforting. I did not experience any untoward effects from surgery or my hospital stay. I was discharged with instructions on what was expected of me during my recovery. I chose to go home instead of going to a rehabilitation center. The home health nurse and therapist came to the house as long as they were needed by faithfully doing the exercises sped up my recovery. After three months from surgery I am very pleased with my new knee. I have no pain except mild soreness if I overuse it. Dr. Cope is an excellent surgeon and I would recommend him to anyone considering knee surgery. I could not have had a better outcome." -- Patricia K.
"I had torn cartilage in my right knee. I was experiencing pain all the time. The Orthopaedic Group, P.C., facility was top notch and all the people I met made you feel comfortable that they knew what they were doing. Surgery went well, healing process went well, and I have no more pain. Dr. Cope and his staff care and do a great job and I will recommend them to anyone." -- Richard G.
"Dr. Stephen Cope replaced by right knee in October 2010. I believe he made every effort to ensure my complete recovery from the surgery. I am very pleased with the outcome and expect to see Dr. Cope when my left knee reaches the point that it has to be replaced." -- Nancy A.
"I was experiencing left knee problems and had surgery to correct the issue. Great job by all. Thanks!" -- Bill L.
"I put off having my left knee replaced and was miserable. I finally had it done in January. The recovery was easy compared to what I expected. I could have gone back to work (desk job for the most part) in two weeks, but I went back after three weeks without any trouble. I have no pain at all and my left knee is like new. It is critical to pick the right doctor and be motivated in your rehabilitation." -- Stephen M.
"I have been going to The Orthopaedic Group, P.C., for years. I have had post tibular reconstruction with Dr Park IV in 2008. He was wonderful throughout and a great doctor. He told me everything I should expect; the operation and cast up to my knee. I can't say enough about him. He is always there for his patients and never rushes you in and out like some doctors. I wish he worked on knees, but I had to see Dr. Cope for an injury I had at work that nearly tore my patella in two. Dr Cope is considerate and kind as well. He found nothing wrong with my knee but it still gets fluid on it and I only work part-time. I know what the MRI and X-rays say, but I am still in pain and my knee buckles. Dr. Cope himself advised me to seek a second opinion. He is professional and considerate. He was a good doctor." -- Penny H.
"Dr. Cope operated on my right knee when I was about 40 years old, and two years later he operated on my ACL. I told him I was very active and wanted to play sports. He was able to get me back to playing flag football, tennis, running, participating in triathlons, and snow/water skiing. THANK YOU Dr. Cope -- at age 57 I have done a 1/2 Iron Man Relay and am looking forward to playing flag football at age 60." -- Glenn M.
