About

Dr. Jeffrey D. Boatright is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow orthopedic care. With advanced training and a passion for improving patients’ quality of life, Dr. Boatright is committed to providing personalized, expert care for individuals with a wide range of upper-extremity conditions.

Dr. Boatright earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from Florida State University and Florida Atlantic University, respectively. He then received his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Florida College of Medicine before completing his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Virginia.

Dr. Boatright then completed a Hand and Upper Extremity fellowship at the University of Virginia, where he acquired advanced training in minimally invasive hand and wrist procedures such as endoscopic carpal tunnel release and wrist arthroscopy, as well as providing care to NCAA collegiate athletes with hand, wrist and elbow sports-related injuries. He also received advanced training in upper extremity trauma care. During his fellowship training, he was selected by the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH), to participate in the Touching Hands Project – a mission-based program providing care to underserved populations in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, while working alongside some of the most prominent hand surgeons in the world.

Given his blend of training, Dr. Boatright specializes in minimally invasive upper extremity procedures, reconstructive surgery of the hand and wrist, as well as sports- related and acute traumatic injuries of the upper extremity.

Dr. Boatright was a nationally ranked collegiate swimmer at Florida State University who competed in the US Open and the 2000 US Olympic Trials. Outside of his practice he enjoys spending time with his wife and family, traveling, college football, live music, and outdoor activities – particularly deep-sea fishing, hiking, and camping.
