Dr. Cope is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He specializes in sports-related injuries and arthroscopic surgery of the knee and shoulder. Dr. Cope is also specialty-trained in cartilage restoration procedures of the knee, including autologous chondrocyte implantation in our Sports Medicine Center.
He is a member of most area hospital staff, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. Dr. Cope is the team physician for the University of Mobile. He is also the head of the doctors’ committee for the Senior Bowl.
