Our newest hand and elbow specialist, Dr. Scott Glenzer, was recently featured on FOX10 and discussed what brought him back to Mobile, as well as the conditions he treats.
Dr. Glenzer was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma, but moved to Mobile, Alabama as a toddler, and is excited to return home for his orthopaedic career.
He specializes in hand and upper extremity surgery, having received his fellowship trianing in the hand and upper extremity from the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
Dr. Glenzer is defined by his unwavering dedication to his patients and his drive for excellence in his profession. His background in research and management has strengthened his ability to provide quality patient care. As a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Dr. Glenzer prides himself on staying up-to-date on the latest advancements in his field.
When asked about symptoms and issues patients should look for, he shares, “If someone is having issues with hands, they should look for numbness, tingling, or pain in hand or elbow. Anytime a patient is having issues working or doing things around the house, it’s time to make an appointment with me or one of the other specialists in our hand and elbow center of excellence.”
