For Dr. Timothy Frerichs, there is no other place to be than on the coast. He was born in sunny Pensacola, Florida but eventually found his home in Orange Beach, Alabama. From the beach life to family nearby – it’s truly a perfect location for his family.
Before settling on beach life, Dr. Frerichs was passionate about fitness and sports, which fueled his decision to become an orthopaedic sports medicine specialist. His background includes experience as both a weight-lifter and personal trainer, using that passion to his medical approach. He says, “Whether it’s a professional athlete or a grandparent trying to keep up with their grandkids, I love helping patients of all ages get back to doing what they love.”
Frerichs credits a lot to the pastors who played a crucial role in instilling and nurturing his core values of family, faith, and patient care. He shares that these values have helped him prioritize what truly matters in life and doing what’s best for his patients.
As a physician, Frerichs is passionate about putting his patients first and ensuring they receive the personalized care they deserve. This principle guides him every day and drives him to be the best doctor he can be. He strives to make a positive impact on his patients’ lives and help them achieve optimal health and well-being.
Frerichs says, “As an Orthopaedic Sports Medicine specialist, I’ve found my calling. My love for weightlifting and personal training led me to care for athletes and patients of all ages, helping them get back to what they love most.”
Of his accomplishments, Frerichs lists two important accomplishments. The first is being the first person in his family to earn a bachelor’s degree. He’s equally proud of his beautiful family, which includes his wife of 21 years and their three wonderful children, ages 16, 14, and 11.
When he’s not helping patients get back to what they love, he’s spending time with his family. Frerichs says his favorite things to do include lifting weights with his wife and daughter, playing football with his son, and attending all of his children’s sporting events and activities. He truly does it all!
