Join us in congratulating Melissa Avilez as the April 2021 Employee of the Month!
Melissa has been a member of The Orthopaedic Group, P.C. team for 19 years. She joined us in November 1999 as a patient processor in our Foley office. After a two-year sabbatical, she rejoined our team in July 2008, working as a medical assistant while she finished nursing school.
Since 2016 Melissa has been working as an RN, and is currently with Dr. Blackmer in the Foley office. Melissa’s coworkers say she is “extremely kind and takes the time to explain things to people. She is a great teacher and works well with everyone.”
According to Bart Benson, clinical manager, “Melissa has always worked very hard for The Orthopaedic Group. She has done it all, including driving to Mobile from Baldwin County to cover clinics. She is the perfect balance of a professional and outgoing employee.”
