  • Simple bone fractures (like a broken bone)
  • Injuries that feel crunchy when you move or
    touch them
  • Strains (injuries to muscles) or sprains (injuries to
    ligaments or joints)
  • A broken collarbone or shoulder injury
    Torn tendons (the tissues that connect muscles
    to bones)
  • Wrist and forearm injuries where you can’t
    move your arm without pain
  • Hamstring injuries from activities like
    waterskiing or doing the splits
  • Injuries to your lower body (like your foot,
    ankle, knee, or hip) if you can’t put any weight on it
  • Ongoing problems that you’ve had for a while
  • Follow-up visits after being referred by your
    primary care doctor or pediatrician
  • Injuries or pain that have lasted more than
    three days (like in your neck, back, or limbs)
  • Lower body injuries where you can still put
    weight on it, like minor sprains or suspected tears in the knee
  • You can see the bone
