Custom Knee Replacement

Custom knee replacement surgery is used to treat severe knee arthritis. Prior to undergoing custom knee replacement surgery, your knee doctor will take an MRI of your knee. Using the MRI, your doctor will create specially designed cutting guides for your surgery, allowing your doctor to remove a precise amount of bone at specific angles. By customizing the cuts and angles to fit your knee implant, your doctor will be able to remove less undamaged bone and more reliably correct alignment problems within your knee joint.

A custom knee replacement procedure can limit the amount of trauma to your knee joint and soft tissue during surgery with more accurate placement and less bone removal. Additionally, the customized alignment requires less work to determine alignment and positioning during your surgery.
