Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar fasciitis is an irritation of the thick tissue, known as the plantar fascia, located on the bottom of the foot.  Plantar fascia is a thick band that connects the heel bone to the toes, creating and supporting the natural arch of the foot. Plantar fasciitis occurs when the plantar fascia is overstretched and/or overused, and it makes walking very painful and much more difficult.
