Joan “Joanie” Sapp Friedlander, PT, Cert MDT, joined The Orthopaedic Group, P.C., physical therapy team in June 2020. Joanie graduated from The University of South Alabama with her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1989. She went on to earn her Certificate in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy in 1991 and earned her Certificate in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy from The McKenzie Institute in 1998. Joanie specializes in mechanical assessment and treatment of mechanical spine pain. She enjoys teaching and learning from her colleagues and patients. When she isn’t in the clinic she is an avid runner and also enjoys kayaking, paddle boarding, and reading.
