Congratulations to the West Mobile 6U All Stars for winning the state championship with an undefeated record! The Orthopaedic Group, P.C. is proud to be a sponsor of these incredible young athletes.
The West Mobile 6U All Stars won the championship game against Hartselle by a score of 19-8. The team played six games total, knocking out the Clanton and Hartselle into the losers bracket early on. The all stars went undefeated the entire all star season, finishing the summer as AAYS Rec World Champions with a record of 30-0.
Their impressive performance included a total of 521 runs, while only allowing 77 runs by opponents. The team is comprised of girls aged 5-7 years old – and they even beat an 8U All Star team in a scrimmage at the start of the season!
The team coaches were Jennifer Levene, Toni Strickland, Trey Strickland, Danny Paul, Myshun McAlpine, and Donald Hammond. Team players honored with MVP awards during tournament play included Cali Carter, Zyiah McAlpine, Harper Mcdole, and Maria Griggers. The team also included players Mazie Mudrich, Emersyn Reeves, Brielle Sheldon, Sa’Meah Tucker, Demi Hammond, Harper Paul, Hollyn Paul, and Saylor Hudson.
