Electromyography and Nerve Conduction Velocity (NCV) tests, used in conjunction with a nerve conduction study, help our doctors analyze specific muscle groups as they relate to your nerve segments.
During this test, the therapists administering the test will use a small needle electrode (similar to an acupuncture pin) to test the muscles surrounding your affected nerve segments, both at rest and with contraction, to determine the underlying cause of your pain or discomfort.
