X-ray
A digital X-ray (digital radiology) is a form of imaging where digital X-ray sensors are used in place of traditional photographic film. Digital X-ray is used to diagnose conditions by taking pictures of the inside of the body. Digital X-ray is available at our Airport Boulevard, Springhill Avenue, Saraland, Fairhope, and Foley locations.
On the day of your digital X-ray:
- If an X-ray has previously been taken for your current condition by an outside provider, please bring the films or disk with you to your appointment.
- If you are unable to bring your previous films with you, your appointment may need to be rescheduled or have new X-rays taken.
If you have any questions regarding our digital X-ray service, please call (251) 476-5050.
MRI
MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) is an imaging tool doctors use to look for and diagnose injuries that can’t otherwise be detected through X-ray. Doctors usually recommend an MRI scan for patients to look for joint degeneration, tumors, fractures, and other musculoskeletal damage or disease. MRI scans are performed at our Airport Boulevard location in Mobile.
Please have your current insurance information and ID upon arrival for your appointment. The Orthopaedic Group, P.C., participates with most major insurers. We request that you remit any co-pay or deductible at the time of your examination, but we offer you the convenience of filing your claim for you with your insurance carrier.
