The Orthopaedic Group, P.C. COVID-19 News

Our top priority is the well-being of our patients, our staff, and the communities we serve. As we adapt, hold discussions and concerns surrounding Coronavirus (COVID-19) continue at the local, state, and national levels, The Orthopaedic Group, P.C. is continually monitoring the situation in conjunction with guidance from the Alabama Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control.

Our medical staff and employees follow strict guidelines for cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, common-use areas, and treatment rooms to reduce/prevent the spread of illness. Hand washing and sanitizing are handled very carefully and thoroughly. These guidelines include:

  • Masks are required for appointments unless you are exempt, following the CDC guidelines.
  • Temperature checks and screening all patients as they arrive for their appointment.
  • Appointments are limited to the patient unless the patient is a minor or the patient requires assistance.
  • Finger gloves and hand sanitizer are available during the check-in process.
  • Patients may wait in their car until called back to see the physician.

Current Patients:
We ask that if you are sick (fever, coughing, trouble breathing, body aches), please cancel your appointment and reschedule for a later time when you are no longer sick. If you or anyone in your household has any of these symptoms, please contact our office to reschedule your appointment.

To protect our patients, staff, and family members at all of our locations, we allow one (1) necessary caregiver/driver/family member/friend to accompany patients.

We recommend and urge patients to refer to the CDC website for information on preventing illness from the coronavirus.
